MLITSD-approved certification for York Region's fastest-growing corridor. Train locally, get certified, get back to building.
Richmond Hill sits at the heart of York Region's intensification boom. The Yonge Street corridor from Major Mackenzie Drive south to Highway 7 is being transformed by a wave of mid-rise and high-rise residential projects that are redefining what was once a low-density suburban landscape. The Richmond Hill Centre area — anchored by the planned Yonge North Subway Extension terminal station — has become one of the most active development zones in the GTA, with multiple towers approved and under construction simultaneously. For every crew working above grade on these projects, Ontario law demands a valid Working at Heights certificate.
Beyond the Yonge corridor, commercial and industrial construction is accelerating around the Highway 404 and 407 interchange, where new office parks, logistics centres, and retail plazas are filling in rapidly. The former David Dunlap Observatory lands are being developed into a mixed-use community, bringing residential, retail, and heritage preservation work that requires certified trades at every stage. Whether you are framing a condo on Yonge, installing mechanical systems in a new commercial building near Highway 7, or working on roof assemblies in the Observatory Hill neighbourhood, you need your WAH card to be on site legally.
The Ontario Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development is active throughout York Region, and Richmond Hill job sites see regular compliance inspections. An expired or missing Working at Heights certificate is one of the fastest ways to get pulled off a job — or to trigger fines that hit both the worker and the constructor. With the volume of construction happening here, there is no reason to risk it.

Call 647-830-5557 →Yes.
